Ivan Vyrypaev

Playwright, Director, and Producer

Born in 1974 in Irkutsk (USSR), Ivan Vyrypaev graduated from the Irkutsk Theater School and studied at the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute in Moscow.

Currently, Ivan Vyrypaev lives in Warsaw and is a citizen of the Republic of Poland. His plays are staged worldwide, from South Korea to New York, and he directs productions in leading theaters across Europe and the USA.

Key Projects and Leadership Roles:

• 2013–2016 — Artistic Director of the Praktika Theater (Moscow).
• 2015–2023 — Co-owner and General Producer of the WEDA PROJECT production company (Poland).
• 2020–2021 — General Producer of the Okko Theatre online project on the Okko streaming platform.
• Present — Artistic Director and General Producer of the Teal House Foundation for Integral Development in Warsaw.

Ivan Vyrypaev is a screenwriter and director of numerous films and theatrical productions. He is a laureate of prestigious international awards, including honors from the Venice Film Festival.
